The Artist's Bio
Award winning artist Coni Minneci is known for her creative concepts in painting: from miniatures to oversized 4 x 6 ft panels, in both oil and acrylic. She is an accomplished contemporary realist painter. Ms. Minneci is also an art instructor from the Western New York area. Her passion for art led her to achieve College degrees in both Graphic Design and Studio Arts/Painting.
Minneci’s work has been sold through many commercial Galleries and Art Centers in the United States and is currently being represented by Thomas McCabe and Jeffery Holloway, Owners of Eminent Design Gallery, Sonoma, California.
Her work is enjoyed in hundreds of private and corporate collections, in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan. Catalogs from her series: “A to Z: An Historical Survey of Women Artists” can be found in various research libraries including the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.
“Her work has been described as startlingly beautiful in whatever format she chooses, from her miniatures to her over scale panels, from oil to acrylic. She has the ability to capture one’s imagination and attention.”
Artist Statement
Whether working in oil paint or acrylic, my work is a physical result of many years of studying techniques such as the Hudson River School, Traditional Chiaroscuro Techniques and Surrealism Fundamentals. My art is a result of my imagination and hours of contemplation.
See Coni's art in March 2025 here at the library. Her reception will be held on March 19th at 2pm. Please register on our library calendar for the reception. Light refreshments will be available. Meet the artist at the reception!
