Richard Diego's Biography:

Richard Diego is a globe-trotting artist who has drawn inspiration from a life immersed in diverse cultures and landscapes. Growing up between the United States, Mexico, and Cuba, he developed a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of colors and textures found in different environments. This passion flourished during his childhood in Santa María del Mar, Cuba, where he was mentored by his grandfather, igniting a lifelong love for impressionistic painting in both oil and watercolor. Before fully embracing his artistic journey, Richard spent 35 years in the field of International Banking, residing in Chile for three decades, followed by three transformative years in Brazil and two enriching years in Uruguay. This extensive travel and cultural exposure not only shaped his worldview but also significantly influenced his artistic voice.

In recent years, he continued to refine his craft by studying under renowned artists Sergio Stitchkin in Chile and Colley Whisson at the Tucson Art Academy. Through these experiences, Richard has honed a distinctive style characterized by vibrant landscapes and seascapes that resonate with the beauty of the world. Much of his current body of work reflects the stunning sights encountered during his travels, particularly inspired by the luminous landscapes of Florida. Richard aspires to share the richness and beauty of various countries and cultures through his art, inviting viewers to experience the world from a fresh perspective. Through each brushstroke, Richard seeks to connect with audiences, evoking a sense of wonder and appreciation for the diverse tapestry of life that surrounds us.”
